These were taken of Mercuries and Plymouths at various car shows around Long Island, or the oldies concerts at Lead East in New Jersey.
Absolutely love '49/'50 chopped and channeled Mercs. My Dad had a '58 Plymouth, 318 stick that I took my drivers test in. Never was thrilled about the looks then, but NOW I find them very pleasing. In fact, they were one heck of a car.
Nice east coast cars. In California we "raked" them. Raised the rear end, lowered the front. Cops used a pack of regular cigarettes to measure the distance from the lowest part of the front bumper to the ground. If a pack of Camels would pass under it was legal.
