Taken during the "hot" days we recently experienced. Temp was 94 F at 7:30 PM PDT. Light gets green-tinted on those sunny evenings-in the shade. Was on Bat Watch as we have seen a few in the later evening.
After I am in the area about 15 minutes, according to my wife, the juveniles and just fledged come out to eat. I am usually busy with this or that so she might say "Look at the babies..." so I pick up the camera and start shooting.
This set is from late afternoon-all low-light-high ISO shots. ISOs 4500 to 14400! Z9, Z 100-400, 1/400, f 5.6.
I was looking for interesting eye detail on these little guys. Found some despite the high ISOs.
Download and enjoy!
I was wondering about the color-cast, now I know. These are very nice!

Thanx! I worked a bit to balance the color better the RAW image. The light is a bit green though-it goes through an evergreen forest!
More of your good work, Tim!
