I had never heard of an episcope lens, but what this guy does with one is amazing. Actually, everything he does is amazing. "DIY Perks" on YouTube.

I still don't know what you're talking about, Bing search yielded nothing.

I don't use bing because it never gives me the best results. Use Google. I hate them but they are better. Lol I just googled it and the entire first page of results explained the lens and did include the Utube person

Theres an engineering student who keeps showing up with these in laboratory type adapter mounts on pentax 6x7 and some smaller cameras. Very typical would be a 4 inch f:1.1 on a canon or nikon. The fun aspect acoarst is the absence if any iris.

OTOH, why would you tote a heavy ultra speed lens if you were just gonna stop it down anywho ? FWIW, true to his nature, the pentax 6x7 became a "2.5x7" cuz he adapted it to use 35mm film.

I once made a one element one meter lens with a screw-in +1 diopter, some black PVC tube and a glued on body cap. It worked, kinda. It was very hard to keep steady, and was very dim, with only one element. DIY Perks makes better stuff.

Isn't an endoscope what they use for a colonoscopy?
