Z7 with Techart adapter

I picked up a Techart adapter for my Z7 to use my Zeiss Sony E mount lens. When I put my 55-135 lens on with it it showed vignette around the edges. The 55 1.8 shows none. My Nikon F mount short telephoto shows none, with the Meta adapter. I thought from everything I read mirrorless would use all lens correctly with proper adapter.Anyone else see this or is just a normal thing, and Ill just have to crop the vignette out? Really wanted to use the Zeiss lens.

Adapting from one very shallow camera mount to another is much like adapting from one slr to another, not much depth to work with (about 2mm).

Just crop. 45MP is waaaaaay more than anyone needs for *ANY* finished result. You are not cramping a wide angle lens, which would really be the major reason for complaint.

Is the problem lens a 55-135 zoom? I can't find a Zeiss zoom covering that range. Also I'm guessing you're talking about a manual focus lens. I'm guessing it is an APS-C lens, and it may not trigger the DX crop on that camera and isn't covering the entire full frame sensor. Now someone tell me if I'm wrong. Even if not manual focus, I'm still guessing APS-C and no DX crop trigger. Maybe it has to do with the adaptor.

The only automatic cropping the Z-body Nikon cameras perform is for Nikon-branded DX lenses. Everything else must be manually set by the human.
