Please share your opinion about the best place in post-processing to apply super resolution. Straight off the raw file before processing? Other? Thanks for your expertise!

Do it first or do it second. It does not matter, because Adobe will apply ALL changes to the raw file — in the correct order — when you export it or send it to Photoshop or print it. NOTHING happens until you do one of those three things. You are viewing proxies at all times in Lightroom. To be sure, I just processed an image in LrC, then did the super resolution. Then I started from raw again, and did the super resolution before applying the same changes I'd done the first time. I can see NO differences at 100%, 200%, or 50%, or 400%.

One difference that I can see is that if you do the Enhance adjustments first it might help you to make a better decision when it comes to adding your own sharpening, denoise etc. If you do the Enhance adjustments last it could turn out that you've added more denoise (or whatever) than is actually needed.

It does not work that way. Whether or not you enhance/super res, it does everything in the same order for final output.

So if you do the Enhance adjustments first, you don't see them?

Yes, for final output. BUT. He's talking about making judgements as he adds corrections. You have to decide how you like the adjustment. I would agree, do the enhance first so when you sharpen or denoise, you can see what the final will look like. If you do the enhance last, your denoise and sharpen may be too much or too little for the enhanced image.

I don’t use Lightroom much. I do the super resolution adjustment in Adobe Camera raw before exporting to photoshop.

Cool. Lightroom and Adobe Camera raw have the same controls. And you're following the same sequence I choose. Super res first, then adjustments. This is pretty much your option given this work flow. But I still feel that super res first gives you a better basis for making other adjustments.
