"Bleeding?"

Yes, Canon has had a problem with some sharp edges on its latest models. Lots of bleeding. One of the guys in advertising said that they wanted to be able to say how sharp the new Canons were. The design people misunderstood.

In case some of you didn't realize it, I wasn't being serious.

That is the reason that I got a Photoshop subscription, to be able to see the raw images on newer cameras. I had CS6. Look for updates.

According to the Adobe website, Canon R7 and R10 CR3 files are supported following an update that was rolled out in June.

https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html

Original poster should check what versions of LR Classic and/or PS Adobe Raw they have installed.

LR Classic needs to be version 11.4.

Adobe Camera Raw (Photoshop plug-in) needs to be version 14.4.

If not these latest versions, original poster needs to update their ACR and/or LR Classic installation.

Perhaps Adobe Camera Raw doesn't support the file format yet. The R7 is quite new. The latest update released 07/20/2022 would support it. I think perhaps you need to do an update of ACR.

Definately! It is a new RAW and requires a new codec. To my dismay, the latest version of DPP 4 which is needed for the R7's RAW files requires a version of Windows later than 7 Premium, which is what I have.

I saw an online ad from ProCamera which said they had the R7 in stock with the 18-150mm lens. I ordered it right away and in 2 days had the R7 with the 18-150mm lens. As soon as I confirmed the order I canceled might order with the company I had ordered the camera from some time OK. It was still on back order.

I'm really not interested in the 18-150 mm lens, but after waiting this long....

Same happened to Me.
Adobe was great I guiding me through a fix by downloading the DNG converter. Converts an entire folder of RAW images quickly. Now I can open and use in PSE.

Welcome to the bleeding edge of digital photography. See comments above about downloading all available Adobe subscription updates, where possibly the changes for the EOS R7 are available or may still need to way until a future update.

Yes "Bleeding" edge. Everybody wants to be on the cutting edge, but when you have to have the
bigger, better, best...welcome to the bleeding edge. Just wait it out, this too shall pass.
