I like it.
I might just adjust the slope of the dam top a bit for aesthetic looks, keeping an eye on the verticals of the house.
Don’t know which way is east or west, but a morning or evening shot might be cool. Or maybe a bright moonlight shot. I might try to lose the house.
To me, the house enhances the scene instead of strickly falls.

Nice start!
1: Level the dam
2: Earlier or later in the day, for softer light
3: Sharper focus through out the image, looks like the focus was on the water in the foreground
First, level the camera to get the top of the waterfall even. Sharpen the focus, it's blurry in the foreground and background. Stop down the aperture one or two stops to get a slower shutter speed so the water blurs into a stream and lastly, take a picture of the waterfall behind you cause that's the real falls in Chagrin Falls, and a much better image.

Beyond the technical issues mentioned, the head on shot is a boring perspective. If you like the buildings on the right, move left and include a better view of them. Possibly get some of the river curvature too.
From my point of view, in an overall revealing picture like this there has to be some detail in the splash at the base of the falls. This could call for two exposures put together electronically.

I'm not one who likes blurry water shots, and my focus was on the water itself and I also have pictures of the falls on the other side of the street

You asked for my views and I provided them. Apparently you were only interested in favorable views. Hard to learn that way.
Hey, you profit from your mistakes and I have no problem with your or any bodies critique. They're more than welcome
