For a lot of people it's the only way to start a day.
That clock obviously is showing 1710 HRS. Humans don't start a day at 0500 HRS.

We don't ? , mine starts 3:00am most days.

My wife asks why I get up so early, now you have confirmed I'm on the right track.
I worked on the railroad for 40 years. Pick any time that is on that clock and I went to work at that time. I treasure my sleep. If I need to get up early , I can. But most days I roll out of bed between 8-9 am. Once in a while 10am.
