SmugMug alternative?

On UHH advice, I opened a SmugMug account to store the hundreds of old family photos and slides I'd acquired and scanned. After using it a while I realize it has many more capabilities, and it's far more complex, than I need. All I want, is a simple storage site where family members can access the photos and maybe create a hard cover album with selected photos. SmugMug is not particularly intuitive to use and seems more geared toward professional photographers.
Is there something a little easier for an amateur like me to use?
