Hello photo friends.
I've purchased the majority of my camera equipment, both new and used from B & H and Adorama, and have been extremely pleased.
I saw a lens listed from KEH, a Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 L II USM EF Mount Lens that I'm interested in purchasing, however, I have never had dealings with KEH. My question to you good folks is, have you dealt with them and how were your experiences?
I look forward to your responses.

I think you’ll find that KEH is a reliable, honest and first rate dealer.
Always treated me well. Only had one issue out of many purchases and sales. They made it good ASAP. So in my opinion they are Great
Me three!
KEH is a good business to deal with!

I have been dealing with KEH for the past 30 years. My experience with them dates to the early 1990s when they operated a storefront in Dallas for a time. I had opportunity to meet and deal with owners King Grant and his wife during that time. Other family members are now operating the company, which is much larger and more strongly geared to online transactions, but their underlying values and principles remain the same.
My purchases of used gear are much fewer now, but their descriptions are conservative and their service fast and accurate. I've not ever had a problem in my dealings with them, but accounts here indicate that issues get resolved quickly and fairly. I would expect that your experiences will be similar.
Most of my equipment is used, and most of the used equipment came from KEH, some of the items now approaching 12-years since purchased from KEH. I can remember two distinct problems over the years. I've sold to KEH, both in-person and via their website. I've seen how the process works to the extent I think I understand how the lenses with issues came to me.
The equipment is visually inspected when purchased. No usage testing occurs. So, the grading is applied, a stock inventory number is created, and the item goes into their system for resale. Any problems in the equipment, like the AF motor is dead, is something you need to discover when you receive the purchase. You have a very firm 2-weeks to use, test / discover any issues with the lens to get a Return-Authorization for a no-questions-asked and prepaid return label. After that, the item is yours for a restocking fee or for the cost of repair.
I've purchased KEH "like new", "ugly" and both grades of "excellent" and "excellent+". Like New came with a box and Ugly came with visual external damage to a camera body. Of all the various equipment, two lenses were obviously broken internally. Something immediately obvious by mounting the lens and testing (failing) the autofocus. A simple 'test' not performed / observed when lenses were purchased from me, and clearly not performed before these problem lenses where sold to me.
As long as you understand the return policy and time-window and your responsibility to receive and certify the purchased items, buying used should be relatively risk-free from large and dedicated resellers.
Thanks for the honest answers, I feel that I now make a wise decision.
I have purchased three (fast) used lenses from them. No issues whatsoever with any of them and I'm a real nit picker. All at a very reasonable price too I might add. Kinda hard to go wrong when you look at their refund policy.

I recently bought a used lens from them. Even though they rated it 8.5 out of 10 I couldn’t find a single flaw cosmetic or otherwise. The price was good, it arrived on time, & it was packed well. Not much more to say than that!
I've dealt with KEH buying stuff for about 8 years, never an issue. Another excellent site for buying used lenses & bodies is MPB.com....same thing excellent customer service, fast & responsive. Personally, I've found MPB provides a slightly better price point in buying your old stuff as well as pricing in your favor on buying stuff

I have found KEH great for used equipment, as reliable or better than B&H or Adorama. KEH has more rare, old, or unusual items for sale as well.
