Took my Nikon z50 with a 50-250 mm kit lens to the Saratoga Race Track and stayed in the Clubhouse to beat the heat. I shot all of these images from my seat and cropped them quite liberally. I was VERY impressed by this camera’s versatility and sharpness. Any comments would be appreciated. TIA.
I shot at AZ race tracks for decades. Nice to see racetrack pics again! As hot as it has been over the country, I really feel for those horses! People have choices. Most horses don't.

Love photo #1! These ARE very impressive. I keep thinking this would be my next camera purchase. Seems to be a good choice.
In Ruidoso, New Mexico, this morning where over the next two days we will be shooting some racing. Our group includes Nikon pro Andrew Hancock and then our regular bunch of ragamuffins. Among our team, we have seven
Z9 and then a bunch of D4, D5, 850, etc. and we will shoot more than 10,000 images and then narrow those down to probably 50 that we will use from cameras mounted high over the grandstand and down under the rail. Beautiful sunny day here at 7,000 feet and high temperature of today forecast in low 80s with probably the almost-required 1 p.m. shower. Andy has the new 400 mm on Z9 that should really grab some action. Will try to post some of these over next days. Saratoga is a wonderful place to photograph horses Love that first shot. Have fun an stay cool. Good racing there today . . . .but just about any day at the track is a good day. Whther its Ruiodso or Rillito or Turf Paradise or wherever.

I would love to see your images. It was too hot to get closer to the action, but I will try again on a cooler day! I have the d500 as my main camera but the z50 is pretty amazing for my amateur needs!
When I was here at the races in New Mexico two weeks ago the temperature at home in Texas was 109. At the races that day it was 39 degrees cooler.
Went to the jackets, sweaters and sweat shirts last night on the deck while watching the Dodgers and Giants.

You've obviously got a winner there, which in turn is going to produce years' worth of winners for you
