Lovely set Kathy, I like the last one...

Thanks. Those were growing all along the roadsides in Illinois.

Fantastic set Kathy
Yes its Chickory!! I didn't know there was more than one color, although the tips of the flower appear white when the buds start to open.

Thanks, Frank. According to Wikipedia, they can also be "rarely pink or white."

Very nice set of flower images. Like the fact that you didn't let the oranges and reds get oversaturated. Nice eye and composition. Like many peoples have already commented, the last one is chicory. It's one of my favorite wild flowers because it grows in what are called waste places. Translation, they grow in the poor soil and gravel along most roads and add beauty where it is needed most and least likely to occur.

Very nice set of flowers Kathy! I took a similar picture like your last up in the Kootenays in Canada quite some years ago and also identified it as a chicory, mine came out a bit more on the blue side with slightly purple tinge in the center.

Thanks! I really enjoyed the chicory. It was sort of everywhere!

I always try to not saturate colours. But some are just naturally so.

I've been traveling here and yon lately. Thought I'd share some of my pics. First, some flowers. I do so love them!

These have been lightly processed from RAW in LR. As always, I covet your comments.

Thank you, Fran. That was one lone red in a sea of yellow lilies.
