I am interested in Tamron 18-400mm for my Fujifilm xt4 for daily use. Do you think the combination does reasonable job ? What about the adapter ? Thank you for your advice in advance. Shang.

Glad you edited your title- but it did bring a smile for a bit.
(unless Kimberly-Clark has entered the photography market)

18-400?
That's a really long and handy range that's probably full of compromises, but they keep getting better.
Will be interested in reading user reviews.

I think that's a question for Proctor and Gamble!

I rented one for a trip to Yellowstone 3 years ago but I used it on a Nikon D500. Two years ago we returned to Yellowstone, but I took all of my good glass, thus I have some pretty good images to compare. Yes, the Tamron makes some compromises to cover that kind of focal range, but not much IMHO. If I find the right price, I will purchase one to use as my travel lens.

I shoot Canon and have Canon Prime Lens. When I travel for recreation I travel with the Tamron 18-400mm. I am completely happy with the results. There are compromises but only the most precise can differentiate the quality.

I have the Tamron 18-400 lens on my D7100. This is my third iteration, starting with the 18-270, then moving to the 16-300 and to my current lens. The current one is the best of the bunch, and it is almost always on my camera.

Get the Tamron 18-300 instead. You always lose some functionality with adapters. I have both lenses, the Tamron 18-400 for Nikon Dx, and the 18-300 in Sony E mount and love them both. If you really need the extra reach of the 18-400, buy an entry level "Canikon" dslr body to go with it. Won't cost much more than a good adapter

I got mine in f mount when they first came out and it has served me well. There are compromises and there are a couple of quirks. It's not the sharpest lens out there, but it's not bad at all, especially when teamed with Topaz Sharpen AI. It does have some softness in the corners and vignetting, but nothing that stops me from using it. One quirk is that the focus ring spins when the camera auto focuses. That's why it's a thin ring at the front of the lens. Just keep your hand back on the zoom ring. In order to manual focus, you have to flip the switch to manual, there is no override. It's versatile, light and compact. I mainly use it as a walk around lens, especially for family vacations, but I have gotten some great BIF shots with it.
