This very large bore was very much courting this rather young grizzly. He was quite enamored and was very patient with puppy eyes for her!
This was one of the frustrating days. There was an area where there was a grizzly with 2 cubs that was putting on quite a show every day. I had missed her and the cubs the day before and was bound and determined to get them on this day. They were cubs of the year and I did not have any photos of COY. But on the way there was this couple and with the steam in the background I just had to stop. But after half an hour or so I made the decision to go see if the mom and cubs were out. Not the correct decision. While she had put on a show for the previous 3 days, my day she did not show at all! So, I left the 2 love birds to watch an empty hill where the mom and cubs were a no show.... I guess you can't win them all. But I really enjoyed these photos.
P.S. What I missed by leaving is that she did fall in love and there will be beautiful babies in the spring.
Is this huge guy not seriously handsome!

Quite unfair of you to impinge his personality by calling him a “bore” without even getting to know him first! 😜🤪

Females are sows, cubs that were born over the winter are COY, cubs of the year, second year babies are cubs and a group of bears are a sloth!

thanks Boar and Sow.same as pigs!
Great photos !!! Mr. Boar McBear is certainly a fine "HUNK" of a fella. Too bad he, and all of the males, are of the "Love 'Em & Leave 'Em" ilk !!!
