Wow! These will make me rethink my 55-300 lens. Very nice shots--I especially liked the first one.
Your photos speak for themselves, and prove the point once again that it's the person behind the camera is the winner.
Yep. It's about the photographer and the light.

Very impressive set! Your first image reminds me of my 1st DSLR. My 1st DSLR was the Nikon D5200, and the kit 55-300 "lived" on it until I was able to purchase the Tamron 150-600. The D5200 has long since gone to a new home, but I still have that 55-300 kit lens. I don't really use it any more, but it has sentimental value which far exceeds any money I'd get from its sale. My hobby has gotten so much more expensive since the D5200/55-300 combo got me hooked on bird & wildlife photography!
The second is my favorite.
Lens technology has gone a long way and modern lenses are superb. Although the kit lenses are reasonably priced they packed very good technologies and when properly used, like you have done with these images, the results could be outstanding.
Great pics, just goes to prove to all you gear hogs out there that you don't need all that expensive gear, it is the photographer not the gear, keep up the good work.
Way to go !! Great shots.
Very nice pictures! Get that stick away from the Shepard, please. I was reading an article from a Vet just the other day that was talking about more and more dogs (all breads) getting parts of sticks stuck in their throats, and not being able to save them even at the Vets office. The article was from a couple who rescued a young dog to match the one they had recently lost from old age. They only had the new dog 3months I think, and then had to rush him to a Vet, but they couldn't save him. They were heart broken. Get some good toys to throw to your Shepard, and some it can chew on. That Shepard is beautiful.
Excellent series, Sxrich.
