25 image stack,@ .0025" or .0635mm per slice, processed with PSCC and Helicon Focus

I checked back. No one guessed it yet and you have not explained it yet. Perhaps some news by Wednesday.

My guess would be a dried part of a composite flower still attached to the pedicel. The dry petals and sepals have all dropped off.
