I visited South Dakota last April. Mount Rushmore made the trip one of my best. I always play with BW/monochrome when processing trip photos and am happy with the results.

The last one is a fascinating pov. My only negative response to the others is the lack of detail and ultra-black of the trees; they are a wee distracting, but overall IMO these look super in b&w!

I have to agree with Linda, need more detail in the trees and a tad lighter. Other than that these are really good.

Thanks Don. I rechecked the originals and found the trees are sharp. At the distance of few hundred yards away, if the facials features, especially the carving tool marks are sharp, there is a good chance that the trees have details. I had to reduce the photo MP significantly to upload them to UHH, thus details are lost.
