Has anybody else been following this espionage thriller with Jeff Bridges? I do think reading the book would be faster, but it is fairly good.

Watched episodes 1-6 season 1 and liked it. Since Jeff is only about 14 years younger than I am I could relate. I can't seem to find a season 2 so it may be in progress. Shows like this help the time on the treadmill go faster.

Episode 6 revealed that "The Old Man" does not refer to Bridges. Must be the Bote character.

Ah, thanks for clearing that up. I wasn't quite sure. Still its nice to see a youngster of 72 in a leading role.

I really wanted to like it. However by episode 5 I got bored. Too slow paced and not enough action.

I've been watching are really like it. I like Jeff Bridges as an actor anyway, and the very first episode had so many twists and turns! Just when you thought you were following, something would make you go "Whaaat?" I believe that this Thursday is the season one finale, and that there is a season two coming.

I think you’re right about Bote. It took me by surprise too…how much older can he be than Bridges and Lithgow?

Really, really tried to stay with it but it's much too slow and downright boring

Kind of like Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy...but it gets you there in the end. It's all the little details that intertwine in spycraft stories.

I'm with you. During ep 6 I texted a relative complaining how slow it had become. Then son-of - gun the last few minutes of ep 6 perked me right up!
Guess I'll stick for another episode.

I really wanted to like this series, because of Jeff Bridges...but it has ultimately been a disappointment to me. Even read the book and that was disappointing, too.

If you like Jeff Bridges, try "Hell or High Water," on Netflix. Excellent movie.
