Update on used Sony RX100-VA purchase

I've had this new/used camera for several months now and it is an amazing little tool. My poor old Pentax K3-DLSR hasn't been out of the house since I made this purchase! While the RX100 is about as small as they come and sometimes it is difficult to physically handle and takes some extra effort, I'll deal with that for the reduced size it provides. I admit that I do miss the extended range of a larger zoom lens, but there are plenty of pixels in the images to allow some deep cropping in post and I simply love the low light performance of the fast 1.8 F-stop lens. Auto focus is also very good and I most often use the continuous focus feature or the manual focus feature and had good success with both in stills and video. Some dislike the menu system, but I have adapted to it pretty well and once you know where the things you use frequently are located, it's not a big issue at least for me. I personally have the control ring set for ISO adjustment as I do change from selected levels to "Auto ISO" frequently, but this doesn't work in manual focus for obvious reasons. The tilting screen has proved useful on many occasions now and the display is both crisp and bright. At least for me, the best feature of this little camera is the pop up viewfinder. This thing is worth it's weight in gold when shooting outdoors in bright light and on other occasions as well. All in all, a very effective tool here that does almost everything one could want or expect it to do and in a very small package. The only complaint I might have is with the battery capacity as it will consume a fully charged battery in short order. I think this is partially due to trying to keep the camera as small as possible (which is why I wanted it in the first place), but it would be nice if battery performance could be improved. Anyway, cudos to the Sony Engineers that designed this little camera, I'm a big fan! While it was not cheap, it is worth every penny I spent on it and it may well be the last camera I ever purchase! Good luck and good shooting to all.

Loved my RX100VI also, but it is getting hard to beat the convenience of a phone camera

I bought an inexpensive grip attachment for my RX100 which makes it much easier to handle.

Yeah, I've got the little rubber stick-on piece that you install on the right side and it is indeed helpful!

That’s what I did on my RX100VII. Really improved handling it.

The little stick-on is really good, and inexpensive.
