I am member of Create 52 on facebook. the theme this week is "Cold" (a little hard to do in the summer), so I thought of a cold drink. I had so much fun with my entry, I thought I'd share it. Thanks for looking

I just commented on Create 52 I love what you've done with this, especially contrasting the summer flower with the snow falling! How did you create the snow?

Thanks Linda. I have a software called "smart photo editor" it has snow as an add on effect (also rain)

Another way to get a snow effect is to download a snow overlay photo from a web site like Unsplash or Brusheezy or Pexels. Then, make it a separate layer in PS (I think this works in PSE also) and blend them. Lighten, Screen, or Exclusion modes seem to work. I also tried adding a little motion blur to the snow.

I feel refreshed just by looking at the image, Fran. However, I disagree with Linda about the flower. A few ice cubes dropped around the glass would better emphasize the theme of your entry. . . .
