My wife and our younger son are in the pool a few days ago. This is one of my first outdoor shots with the new Canon R7 mirrorless and the RF 18-150 lens. Debra likes things she can float or even nap on and has enough "floaties" to re-do D-Day. Jon likes water guns and has enough to put out small forest fires.
The pool was in afternoon shade with a bright open sky above and except for Denoise and a bit of brightness added it is untouched.

When I get in the pool it is usually to just sit on the steps or stand in water deep enough that it is up to my neck to cool off. I swim almost well enough to make my drowning look interesting.
