Harshness of Yellowstone, warning graphic

These show the harshness of life in Yellowstone. It was raining/snow and a little dark even though it was morning. Taken at 840mm and a heavy crop. I'm glad I did not see the kill. I know it is the circle of life, but I don't have to like it!
This bear was not about to leave the area and let his meal go to another. At times he or she would just put their head down and fall asleep. It did cover up his meal and walked off to a small pond and got a drink at one point, but came right back.

Great capture. I'm a meat eater and the only difference is I don't kill what I eat but I certainly have many, many times.
