Have any of the members use a Light Balancing Filter or a Night Pollution Filter? I was told that the night pollution filter, filters out the yellows when you take nighttime photos. Just need your advice as to which filters work better when you are taking nighttime photos, also do you still use your UV filter when taking night photos?

I have a lipo light pollution filter and a lonely speck light pollution filter.
They both work well enough to use them but nothing beats a dark sky.

I have a Breakthrough Dark CPL and a B+W red light filter for my D800. For my RedCat51 telescope, I use an iOptron L-Extreme Dual Band filter 9 ( 2" ), to pass Hydrogen and Oxygen light wavelengths.

While nothing beats a Bortle 2 sky, these filters can make a difference.

I have used a UV filter but definitely assess the scene and avoid using it if there is a chance of ghost reflections from the lens surface/filter surface.
