I have purchased a camera.
==============================
I'm looking for a camera for my 13 year old grandson. This will be his first camera other than his phone.
Requirements:
* EVF (not just a large screen on the back of the camera)
* Auto, S, A, and Manual modes
* Enough zoom that he can take pictures of the squirrels and birds (at a feeder) in his backyard
* At least 16 MP or so
Something similar to the Coolpix P610 or A1000 would be fine.

I had a Canon SX50 and it was a great little camera. I recommend it highly for your grandson if your looking for a good bridge camera. They can be purchased very reasonably. It only has 12.1 MP, but you'd never know it. It has Optical Image Stabilization and quite a long reach 24-1200. I bought a Sony A6000 for my 8 year old granddaughter because I have one and we trade lenses. It's just the right size for her but of course it's not a bridge camera.

Keeping with the Canon SX series, current model is the SX70, which was back in stock on the Canon sales website. However, I just checked and it’s now out of stock. But still, definitely worth a look. As is the Panasonic LUMIX fz1000 ii, another excellent bridge.

Have a look at Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX99; 24-720mm, tiny. All your requirements met... It will fit in his pocket.
I have an SX50 I am no longer using. I hadn't thought about selling it so I don't have a price to give you right now, but if you are interested I will figure it out. I think I also have extra batteries with it.
i have a Panasonic FZ 50 with battery & charger,,shipped for $80,,takes great pics PM for more info
I have a Panasonic Lumix FZ35/38 with VERY low usage. It is one of the best lightweight cameras around. Look up reviews on the internet.
Note that I am 82 years old. I bought it several years ago for a major trip, which I had to cancel due to illness. Then came Covid. I suspect that my travel days are over. However, this would be a great camera for a teenager.
I would let it go for $50 plus actual shipping. Includes case, lens cap, strap, SD card, charger and several batteries.
Please reply on comments if interested.
I may have intrest in your FZ 35

What did you end of buying for your grandson?
