Since it was Prime days, I was looking on Amazon to see there was anything on sale that I simply could not live without. Luckly for me, I didn't find anything I needed that bad. I did notice there's a Canon R7 with RF-S 18-150 lens listed for $300 more than retail, and 1 had already been sold. Wait a few weeks and Canon will probably have them back in stock, as will other retailers. I guess for some people, $300 is not too much to pay for short term bragging rights.
If the seller is an authorized Canon dealer then their price should be in line with every other authorized Canon dealer and with the price listed on Canon USA's website. Authorized dealers can't charge more then Canon's price and I believe they can't sell for less either. They can offer enticements such as an extra battery, etc.
Good chance that high priced R7 and lens does not have a US warranty if the dealer is not authorized Canon.
