Very nice pastoral scene of life on the farm. Kind of masks what's really going on. Making hay - a whole years work crammed into a couple of days. Small fields and crews or big fields and equipment, square bales or round - same story with some weather prognostication to insure no rain.

So true, a lot of work. The photo shows just a small part of the hay fields. It is interesting to watch how they stagger the growing and cutting of the different fields and then when the season is over they bring in Angus cattle and calves and feed them all winter. Yes it does look very pastoral. I am glad I can enjoy the process but sooo happy it is not mine!
