Here in Williamsport a large percentage of single family homes are corporate owned.
I have observed this first hand over the past 15 years.

I had previously read that it was (rich) individuals, not corporations. But everything built in the Phoenix metro area in the last few years has been apartments, so maybe Wall St wants us all as renters.
