Funny that you just discovered this since the first post in this thread links to this:
[UPDATE, July 13, 2022, 2:20 p.m. EDT: We now have the answer to the question posed in the headline of this post: Yes, it did really happen. Bethany Bruner and colleagues at the Columbus Dispatch have reported today that a 27-year-old man, Gershon Fuentes, has confessed to raping, on multiple occasions, a 10-year-old Ohio girl, who then underwent an a******n in Indiana. Fuentes has been charged with rape.
Thom, my post was days ago, the same day that news broke that they had made an arrest in the case.

You see, there's your faulty thinking. I would never have an a******n, so that is a totally mute point.

That's the great thing about being Pro-Choice. No one can force you to have an a******n and by the same token, no one should be able to force someone else not to have one.
That's the "Choice" part.
Now, do you understand?

The whole damn thing is a lie, by law doctors are required to report the sexual abuse of minors yet there is no record of any such report, the doctor who brought the story to the media is an a******n activist and now refuses to answer the questions put forward by the press. She sure was not quiet when it came to provocating her lie. Even worse under current Ohio law an a******n would have been legal. The adverse medical threat to a 10 year old of carrying a baby to term would have been enough to satisfy the medical protection of the mother.

Questioning the facts is one thing, but you and others aren't looking for anything. In your mind you believe you know the answer.

Why should I be embarrassed? The Ohio state attorney general said that it never happened. If he isn't credible then who is? There were plenty of reasons to doubt the story. It looks like it turned out to be partially true, but only partially because she almost certainly could have gotten an a******n in Ohio since their law has a provision for the safety of the mother.
For what it's worth, I have repeated in other threads about a******n that my daughter was raped and our oldest grandchild is a product of that rape. We are very thankful that she decided to keep her child. You can do what you want with that. Rape is never a good thing, but the child was totally innocent in that and does not deserve to die because some man was evil.

Doctors in some of these states are afraid to go anywhere near an a******n. Life of the mother seems to only kick in, if it does at all, when the mother is on her death bead. Get on a real station and hear the stories doctors tell in these states.

Isn't it interesting that those who really should won't.

Get a real biology lesson and understand that when you abort a fetus you take a human life. If you are OK with that, that's on you, but that's morally bankrupt. Each a******n takes a life. Until you understand that we have nothing to talk about concerning a******n, because far more lives are lost through a******ns than will ever be lost because of health issues for the mother.
I don't need to hear the stories those doctors tell, because more than 63 million have been aborted in the U.S. since Roe V Wade, and maybe a couple hundred women risk losing their lives because of dangerous pregnancies. On top of that, the whole thing is moot since all an individual has to do is go to a state that allows a******ns, so unless it is codified into national law that all a******ns are illegal, the recent Supreme Court ruling does nothing to stop a******ns except to inconvenience a few people who were to irresponsible to take appropriate precautions against unwanted pregnancy.

There's nothing to understand. If a woman chooses to use a******n for birth control, she is a murderer. What part of that do YOU not understand?

What I don't understand is the ludicrous and asinine thinking that led you to this stupid conclusion.
I guess you're one of those imitation Christians who believe they are always right even when they are wrong. BTW - Jesus was Jewish and he was a Rabbi or Teacher and according to his faith, life began at birth and until that time, the fetus was simply part of the mother's body.
But I'm sure you're smarter than Jesus.

And you were very sure of yourself. Hopefully you learned something about going off half cocked.

You are hilarious. #1 - I am not an imitation Christian. I truly believe in God and believe the Bible is the word of God. I never proclaim to always be right. BTW - leave the Bible analysis to people like SteveR because you just think you know what it says but you are not correct. A baby is a gift from God, therefore I would never destroy one. If you don't like that way of thinking, take it up with God. I'm certain he would agree with me on this subject.

No old lady, it's not a gift from God, its sperm from your partner finding your egg. It's science with no invisible man involved.
Remember those days in the back seat of a 59 Chevy? That's how babies are made.
Wala!

That’s your opinion old man. No, I don’t remember the “days in the back seat of a 59 Chevy. I wasn’t born yet. And yes, a baby is a gift from God.
