Can't even sit and enjoy the garden; not with a 105f degree heat index (that would be 1,500c for our metric friends) anyway.
Even with constant watering, the grass is crunchy when walked on.

Try this:
Light grass on fire to avoid annoying crunching sound (and the need to mow), sit in chair with a beer, repeat.
Same here in Louisiana. We just had a severe thunderstorm. It cooled things off but knocked out the power for an hour.
Come on, no whining! I’m about 120 miles east of you and I’ve spent all weekend adding onto my workshop. In the sun of course and later in the afternoon the sun reflects off the wall, making it really nice. I’ve drank enough liquids to float a battleship. And I’ll be 66 next week, so I’m no spring chicken. That new heart valve is working pretty good though.

Sounds good. I will be right on it! Lol.

I bet the cooling off lasted about as long as the power outage.

O.k, fine. So you're a few months older than me. I have had quadruple heart surgery and I work 10 hour days - all out of doors. Yes, I can gripe all I want. So there! Lol. Thanks for looking and making my day! Oh, and stay safe!
Nice shot Tom,it’s very hot over here as well.

Lonely shot Tom. It's been hot here too. Not 105 but 90s
This time of year it is hot in Miami, Florida. I used to complain about the temperatures but not anymore since other places in this USA are hotter than here in Miami, Phoenix Arizona comes to mind.
Our temperatures in July have topped 92 degrees Fahrenheit on a daily basis but fortunately the humidity has been in general relatively low. Occasional showers bring relief.
Yesterday I visited Tropical Park, a local park, in the evening prior to the sunset. There was a very pleasant cool breeze which is not normal for July. Evenings tend to be a little cooler. August and September are also hot months with the possibility of weather disturbances ending in a hurricane.
I do not know how busy has been Miami Beach but it tends to be pretty busy during the summer months.

More like 41°C - but I'm about to experience that. U.K. Met Office is predicting a record breaking temperature this weekend. Currently our top is 38.7°C (101.66°F for our imperial friends).
1500 C would be 2732 F and you my friend would no longer be with us. LOL
I've seen 105 at midnight in Lake Havasu City Arizona, however with 6% humidity.
We are expecting 105 F today which is 40.5 C here in Southern Oregon.
