Putin is worried about resistance in Ukraine. He would have no resistance if he invaded Alaska, and the rest of the world knows that.

From what I have been reading Putin has taken the Ukraine. He may have pockets of resistance but for the most part its done.

You couldn't have possibly read the article. If you had read it the very first paragraph would have told you that Putin isn't threatening anything regarding Alaska and may actually be disinterested.

Two years ago, I’d wholeheartedly agree. Now, I think it’s not impossible to imagine Putin aggressing the US. Virtually guaranteed that the 2022 response would be about 180 degrees different from 2020.

True but his forces are a bit tattered and weakened, he already has Siberia which is more than enough ice for anyone.
