I have a plan to visit Serengeti and Zanzibar in October this year. I have been researching so many companies, it seems like many companies originate outside of Tanzania. I decided to search for local tour companies, as I believe in supporting the indigenous economy. One company caught my attention, this local operator is Blessing Safaris
Is there anyone with experience with local companies while in Africa?
This company is listed on the Tanzania tourism site but I still need some advice before we decide to pay. They are not so cheap but I fall in love with how they attended my inquiry.

Your thoughts are quite appreciated in advance
Thank you

Hi Willy,
We will be leaving for 18 days Tanzania Safari in three days visiting Arusha National Park, Tarengere National Park, Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara and of course Serengeti. We will not be visiting Zanzibar though. We have booked our Safari with a local company based in Arusha. They also have an office in California but I dealt directly with their Arusha office. The name of the Safari company is Shadows of Africa. You can google it. PM me if you need more info. We have been on safaris twice to Kenya, twice to Tanzania, once to Botswana and once to South Africa. We have booked all of our safaris directly with locally based travel companies without any incidents. Yes it takes time in researching and then picking the one that We think would work best for us. We have always booed our safaris at least two years in advance. In fact, we are also going back to Tanzania in February 2024 specially for the Calving Season Safari. Hope these info will help you….

I have a German friend who has taken multiple trips to Africa. I'll ask him who he uses and let you know. He does get wonderful photos, but he is a world traveler and excellent photographer.

We have been to Tanzania twice and have our third trip booked for 2023. We travel with OAT (Overseas Adventure Travel). They are a USA company out of Boston. The local Tanzanian company they use is Kibo Guides. I can recommend both of these companies.

We toured Kenya and Tanzania and finished with 3 days in Zanzibar. We booked our trip through Lion World Travel, based in Toronto. They used local guide companies. They used Liberty in Kenya. In Tanzania, the used Leopard Tours, based in Arusha. I can easily recommend all of them. Enjoy your trip.
