Long go and Far Away #16

I hope this collection isn't too dizzying! One never knows where the Tardis door will open! [Dr. Who time machine for the uninitiated ].

#1 is one of the many stops I made on my belated University graduation gift to me (from me) which started in Europe and ended in Egypt.
#2 Is another photo from our Moroccan adventure. A large number of underground water storage cisterns found all over.
#s 3,4 & 5. From a French vacation.
#s 6 & 7 From another European vacation. Incredible part of the world.
The last three are from road trip north extensions of a visit to friends in Sleepy Hollow, NY. [yes, THAT Sleepy Hollow].

The several photos of France in this group, brings to mind my initial impression of France and the French...I assumed that I never wanted to go back there and hated the people (in Paris)! This was while I was in the service and soldiers were treated with ill-concealed contempt and we left with the idea that they only wanted our money!
My wife talked me into going back, and I must admit my attitude was totally reversed...great country, wonderful people and a superb time. We have been back to explore many areas of France; have made long lasting friendships with people in France (Paris and Le Baux) I am now certain that the early problems in the 50's were a result of a lot of pretty vile American soldiers...of which I have seen examples in the part of Germany that I lived in then.

.Enough of me....hope you enjoy looking at these.
