I noticed the post about bad habits. I can relate to them all, but my worst habit is being lazy and seeing a picture to take but not getting the camera out. Saturday I noticed the spider on a just blooming rose. Instead of being lazy I grabbed the camera (canon D90 with the 100 macro) and got busy with the spider. Once started It was 40 shots later before I stopped.
The spider was not particularly cooperative. I have filed a complaint with the spider model union on that issue. This was the best that I got before she/he dove to the other side. We played the back and forth a bit and then she/he ducked out under a leaf.
While I like flowers in general, I am somewhat fascinated with the insides of flowers and they totally different way that they present themselves.
The frilly petticoats of a double bloom are enticing to say the least.
Who can resist the diminutive beauty of the lobelia?
In the Pacific NW we are given many opportunities to get up close and personal with moss. This miniature forrest is on a stump and gives something photo worthy all the time. I tend to not clean up the mosses before I shoot, as a result there are lots of fir blossoms trying to photo bomb the shot. We had some wind several days ago to bring them down.
