Many of you know that I lead student tours to Europe in the Summer. I'm leaving today for two weeks. It will be a whirlwind tour of Europe starting in London, and then working our way through Paris, Munich, Vienna, Prague, Dresden, and Berlin.

I thought about camera ideas for the trip. I decided that the best bet for travel photos on a tour that is not dedicated to photography would be my Z6 and a converted F-mount 24-120 zoom. I did, however decide I had to bring two vintage lenses with me. The Meyer Optik Goerlitz 30mm Lydith and a Carl Zeiss Jena 50mm Tessar. I will be in Dresden and that is almost equidistant between Goerlitz on the Polish border and Jena a bit farther west of Dresden. That will be a fun place to shoot with lenses that originated from this part of Germany during the time that the Communists were in charge.

I should have internet capability at hotels; but if you don't here from me for a while, you'll know where I am.
