Do something Lefties. Something that would make a real difference.

Like mental health monitoring of individuals on social media sites.
Like enforcement of Federal laws concerning lying on a firearms background check forms.
Like investing in programs to aid disturbed or bullied persons.
Like enforcing and punishing TO THE MAXIMUM gang members using weapons.
Like requiring proof-of-training before allowing concealed or open carrying of weapons.
Like codifying UNIFORM gun carry laws THROUGHOUT the country.
Like REQUIRING maximum sentences for crimes committed with a gun.
Like FORCING, by federal law(s), states to adopt reasonable, defensible weapon-possession criteria.

All good STARTERS!

The shooter was that MiddleEastern Army major I believe. Your comments are well spoken but the dims will never get it.

No, that wasn’t him. I will try to look it up tomorrow.

No they won’t mostly because they don’t want to get it.

I am reminded, if the government would listen to the NRA who suggested mental health records be available to police for background checks then this i***t murderer would not have been able to purchase the rifle he used to commit the murders. He had a mental health history of violence. A great suggestion from the NRA. I cannot remember his name but years ago there was an employee on a military base, if I remember correctly, that was a mass shooter. He also had a mental health record that would prevent him from obtaining firearms but of course nobody could be informed. Releasing those records might stop some mass shooters but of course the Democrats wouldn’t stand for that.

First off, who are you talking to?

If me, I have posted other ways to at least try to stop these k*****gs while you on the Left have posted absolutely not one thing that will guarantee to stop mass murders or any murders. Your ideas are only Feel Good ideas. You will Feel Good about doing something even though that idea will have no chance of stopping ANY murders at all. Just more laws and Left Wing bulls**t piling on top of thousands of other anti gun laws that are not working. Congratulations on doing NOTHING and then trying to take credit for it.

I can think of two situations where if psychiatric records were available to DOJ who checks records for firearm purchase background checks at least those two people would not have been able to purchase a firearm. Would they have still obtained a gun and done the k*****gs? Maybe, maybe not. But they would not have legally purchased a firearm. Two is better than nothing isn't it?

Absolutely correct. Once again the Left looks out for the rights of the minority while forgetting the safety of the majority.

Yes, I remember him, Major Hassan, somebody or other. But that is not who I am thinking of. But he is a good example of someone who had to have been checked for security numerous times to have been promoted to a Major in the U.S. Army. But the fact remains even the most secure people on the planet can sometimes go berserk and start shooting. That is the reason I don't give much credence to background checks. It is possible for someone to purchase a firearm, pass all background checks with flying colors and then get angry over something and start shooting. Again, as you already know, it isn't the guns, it is people who are not able to ever be positively sane and non violent. Another poster mentioned that most likely mass shooters will never be able to be stopped. I do think he is correct. We are talking about people who are not predictable.
