Yes I know this is a bird such as a Whimbrel, Long Billed Curlew, not a Snowy Plover or a Killdeer and probably not a Willet. Yikes...what then of the seemingly upturned bill? I will just let you who know take a stab at it. I do like that he stood there long enough so I could get a decent photo of it.

Where you saw it would help with more specific ID if I'm right and it's a Godwit, I'd guess Marbled Godwit. I'm sure not an Ornithologist, but rather a very casual bird watcher, so we'll see if anybody agrees or disagrees?
