Is Lightroom Only Available Via Subscription?

Thanks for all the input. I just subscribed to Lightroom for $10 a month.

The panel I see now is very bare-bones unlike the former one that had a histogram on top and a tone curve. Is there a way to see those? See picture.

Also, before I could click on library or edit mode is the library mode simply the default mode that shows all the pictures? If not how to access the library mode?

if that is classic the histogram is at the top of that side bar. If you are using the cloud version of Lightroom I have zero ideas..

Thanks for all the input. I just subscribed to Lightroom at $9.99 per month. The edit panel is bare-bones, unlike the former one that had a histogram and tone curve. Is there a way to make those show?

Top Menu bar "View" you have a huge number of things you can change. And the side and top & bottom bars can hide or not (tiny faint gray triangle/arrow in the middle of each side) and the bars themselves have different settings as to what they show or not.

You should find some help on this page: https://www.google.com/search?q=Setting+up+%22view%22+in+Lightroom+Classic+2022&rlz=1C1CHBF_enUS937US937&oq=Setting+up+%22view%22+in+Lightroom+Classic+2022&aqs=chrome..69i57j33i160.22710j1j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

Or here is Adobe's Help & Support page where you can access manuals etc. https://www.adobe.com/products/catalog.html?sdid=KKQXB&mv=search&ef_id=Cj0KCQjwn4qWBhCvARIsAFNAMij5u42pvuMXgu19YWXgLPf3XPWB0B3_Hfm_bnAmtpmVN3QaQJLCs_QaAiFuEALw_wcB:G:s&s_kwcid=AL!3085!3!378896545894!b!!g!!%2Badobe%20%2Bdownloads!6459091865!79966649649&gclid=Cj0KCQjwn4qWBhCvARIsAFNAMij5u42pvuMXgu19YWXgLPf3XPWB0B3_Hfm_bnAmtpmVN3QaQJLCs_QaAiFuEALw_wcB

You beed to open the Creative Cloud and sign in to your account. Then download and install Lightroom Classic (LRC). Not just Lightroom, that is the mobile cloud version

You have to be in the develop module on a specific image, then display the left-side panel and enable the History section.

First, ignore Lightroom and install Lightroom CLASSIC 11.4.x instead. It is the evolution of LR 6.14.

You can customize it any way you like. Just go online and watch some tutorials from Julieanne Kost or Lightroom Queen or Lynda.com.

When I purchased it and download it, it is Lightroom 5.4. That is it.

Cannot access the develop module or history. It appears that 5.4 does not have those features.

The Develop Module is how you edit in LR. Select an image and press 'D', you're in the Develop Module. All versions of LR have a Develop Module.

You want Lightroom CLASSIC 11.4.1!

Forget Lightroom (formerly called Lightroom Mobile).

Looks like 11.4.1 in the $20 per month subscription. Adobe is not clear about what is included in what plan!

You want the $9.99 per month "Photographer Plan". Not something else.

Found the photographers plan and switched to it. Thanks for your help.

Does 11.4.1 have various photography modes as Lightroom classic always had, at the bottom right, such as landscape or portrait, etc. I don’t see them now.
