Intensive mono-culture produces intensive mono wastes, including antibiotics and hormones down the gurgler.
I thought the 'mass starvation' was a part Biden's 'Ukrainian baby'.
Well duh, of course they have intense farming practices. They have limited land. If farmers in the Netherlands are put out of business or severely curtailed where are they going to get their meat and dairy products? They will then be forced to go on the world market. Of course, that means less supply and increased demand, which in turn drives up prices worldwide. Live in your little bubble all you want, but it is all tied together. The war in Ukraine is causing a wheat shortage. Regulations threaten to cause beef shortages. California already has a pork shortage because of their new regulations requiring so many square feet per hog as they are being raised. Environmentalists all over the world are trying to force increased regulations on people without regard for who is going to replace the necessary production of food. It isn't just what the Netherlands are doing. It is environmentalists world wide. And, just look at what has happened to the price of food in the last year. Food inflation is going to continue to increase as long as we try to destroy both the oil industry and the capability of people to produce food products. The Netherlands is just one example of what is happening world wide.
