Nothing! If there was one thing my parents taught me, it was that I had to eat everything that was set in front of me. PERIOD! To this day, I clean my plate. Once in a while when I'm out with friends, they kid me about cleaning my plate, but that's ok.

Yup[/quote]

Ditto. We were a clean plate club and worried about starving children someplace else in the world.

"Waste not, want not". My mother said it many times.

A good pair of pants or shirts. I'm still wearing those I bought back in 2006. My favorite khakies have been repaired a couple of times. If I were young, it might be different.

I graduated from St. John's University in 1970, and still have a sweatshirt with the Redmen Logo...yup, that makes that sweatshirt about 52 years old. Since then, St. John's has gone PC and in the 1990's got swallowed up with the insane crowd that wanted to remove all vestiges of the American Indian. They then changed name to the Red Storm. BTW, the name Redmen was not selected initally because of the American Indian, but because their sports uniforms were RED...just like even today Syracuse are the Orangemen.

Here is picture of the PC changes from St. John's. PS. Glad not to be in ANY college today! Hope that the younger generation will not become too indoctrinated!

My Dad was a Mess Sergeant and we observed that rule. By the way, he made the best breakfasts I’ve ever had👍

My doctor said if I do not throw away the extra food I may not survive.
