I hope that I leave a pretty skeleton like this when I die.

Have seen many of these in my lifetime, but I never bothered to look at the intricate design on them. Will look at them more deeply in the future to see their beauty.

That Sand Dollar is really cool. I have a few but should try to find a really nice one like yours to photograph. What technique did you use to photograph it?

Thanks. D7200, Tamron 90mm macro, Constant lighting from two IKIA LED lights

Very nice! Like the lighting.

Guess you still need to set up the backdrop?

Yep, I'm having the carpet in my office replaced next week, I hope and then will finish the setup

Very nice. I like the lighting - it brings out the textural qualities. I live near the Atlantic coast of Florida - we have them here but they tend to be small and get broken up by the time they get to the beach. Over on the Gulf coast you can find larger ones - we were in the Naples area and there were good sized ones you could feel in the sand with your feet kn knee-deep water and pick up.

Thanks for looking, this one came from a beach in California many years ago

Good one Jack, is it a shell?

Thanks Val, technically it's the skeleton of a sea anemone

Thanks Mike with the Monsoons coming (I hope) it's going to be too hot and humid for this desert rat
