Still slaving away at the up-armor job-blew my right shoulder out-completely useless now. May have to go see a quack!

I cannot lift a camera-even the cell phone-with my right arm :-( no photography

The squirrel stayed about 25 feet from me munching away for about 10 minutes. All of a sudden it ran right at me, up into my pant leg, then out and over my lap and off! I could not get a shot because my right shoulder will not allow it and the critter was too close for my 500pF!

The Salmon Berries are just about done around here.

Went to walk the dog at Belfair State Park. Cannot use the arm so my wife went to a tide pool and snapped a few using my iPhone 13 Pro Max. Yes the crab is under water.

Download and enjoy!

Beautiful work, Tim! Take care of yourself. My doctor pointed out that ALL my warranties have expired.

Beautiful detailed shots Timothy! That's a Douglas squirrel, the only one of the squirrels I really like.
Main food is conifer seeds. They snip off the cones and let them fall before the seeds are ripe and then extract and stash them. At my cabin I hear the cones hit the metal roof, sometimes starting at dawn, and find piles of the
discarded cone parts around the place.

Thanx! The natives around here call them Chicory after the one their vocalizations. Also called Chocolate Squirrels in New Mexico, Sacramento Mountains. The squirrels around us make their living largely from us.

Thanx! Interesting little guys. Bold and fearless they try to rule the forest hereabouts.

Quick question. How do you know the squirrels name is Douglas? (he looks more like a Jeffery to me)! Lol.
