I'm not much of an adapter person, that adds extra length to the connector. A right angle lightning to USB-C would be a little better. That said all my devices have the USB-C connection.

Funny situation. I have an old Kindle that would not always make a connection with a MicroSD cable. When I use a C cable with a MicroSD adapter, it connects every time. It's just a bit more snug.
Doesn't take effect for 2 or 3 years…and by then the iPhone will have a USB-C port instead of lightning port anyway. Apple could just ship a little adapter in the box if they needed to……wouldn't cost more than a buck or two in bulk…and said adapters are already available for older iPhones. The biggest issue is that the internal parts of the USB-C connector are slightly thicker than the current firewire connector…but thats just a bit of re-engineering the internal components to solve the problem.

I bought my wife a new Apple Watch SE for our Anniversary. The round charging pad has the USB C plug at the end and it DOESN’T come with a charging block. So, I ordered a charging block, and some crystal protectors from Amazon. They were shipped via USPS, went to the PO, and then went back to Amazon for some stupid reason. Not the 1st time that scenario took place. The charging block was about $25. They’re crediting my account. So, instead of reordering the block I bought a pair of adapters (smaller than the ones in the link,) for $9. The USPS is screwing up a lot these days. Just ranting.
