SD Card Can Memorize Camera Settings

You don’t want to save them to the card you use when shooting. Best bet is to get the lowest capacity card you can find because that’s all you’ll use it for.

Sure you do. I save my setup to every new card I put in service. The info is right there for immediate restoration if and when needed. Master copies of each file are on my computer, not a memory card that I might misplace.

I format my cards every time I’m done shooting after I DL.

I format after every three downloads or so. Takes about 5 seconds to store the configuration file again. And if I've made some changes, I generally want to capture those in what I'm saving.
