I'm including this photo, not for its lack of artistry, but to compare this year with last. I count at least six contrails, whereas last year at this time there were almost none. It was rare to see any during the pandemic. Things are looking up.
Very nice, but slightly cockeyed.
Considering the time I took this, I may have been into the sauce, just a little. Things do get cockeyed at times.

Cockeyed? Oh no, no, no, my friend. What you see is that elusive photo of the curvature of the earth. It mysteriously shows up in photos when it is least expected.
At least that's the li.. er, story what I tell folks.
Beautiful!
But where's the discussion about all the stuff they put into those contrails?
Yup, things are looking UP!
Things arenât really âlooking up.â Just look at the thousands of flights cancelled almost every day. Passengers are spending hours and even days stuck there in the airports. Lines are out the door and down the walk in major airports.

One reason I donât fly. And then thereâs this: if something mechanically goes awry, in my car I can just pull off the side of the road; kinda hard to do in an airplane. :-)
You think they're contrails. Wakeupnfly kinda spilled the beans.
Kids love water. Remember running out in a thunderstorm while your mother screamed you'll be killed?
Then I noticed that some adults go into reverse mode as they age...water becomes some sort of enemy...I'm wet!!
Finally...there is the subset of adults that freak out if they see water condensing above them...avoid these ppl.
They have forgotten their childhood.
I live not far from the navigation beacon outside Joliet that directs air traffic toward MDW (Midway Airport, Chicago). Prior to the pandemic it was nothing to look in the evening and night sky and see as many as seven Southwest birds strung out and headed to MDW. Not any more; maybe three at most right now.

Cockeyed? Oh, no, no, no, my friend. From an elevated viewpoint a left to right, front to back diagonal line will always appeared cockeyed.
