When I bought mine I had the choice of a router and one, two, or three repeaters. I got two and it works great. I can even get a usable signal in the garden ,about 250 ft from the house.

Thanks again. There was no option for repeaters on Amazon. I ordered it on your advice as well as reviews. We’ll see I guess. Price was $100 Canadian. Thanks. I will update you next week after I get it.

They may call them something else.

The package has three modules, anyone of which can be the base unit, i.e.: tie into the internet router.

I placed one at the router location, one at the other end of the house and one in the basement. One is cabled to my security home base. One is cabled to my TV.

If I wanted a better signal at my observatory, about 250' from the house, I could add another module somewhere between the house and observatory but I get a usable Wi-Fi signal at present.

Mesh systems seem to be the way to go when you need coverage for a larger area. A bit pricey, but work well. Best of luck.

I had issues with coverage with the router my cable company provided, so I purchased a D-Link mesh wireless router system. It consists of three round units, one connected directly to my cable modem upstairs, and the other two on opposite ends of the house on the lower floor. It works great. I can pick up a strong wireless system while mowing anyplace in my yard. Here's what I got:

There are probably better choices available, but this only cost $120.

Thanks for the advice. After a hiccup with Amazon I finally got it and it works great. Went from one bar to three and even works further out in the yard. Thanks again.
