Nice shooting.
I can't help wondering though if a Sig or Nikkor (around about the range of your Tammy)
would have less chromatic aberration around the edges of the sky and the birds dark feathers?

Thank you very much, Abo; I appreciate it. I thought I shot these pretty clean, but, of course, a Nikkor lens is best.
Nice work. Most osprey in flight shots, like your second photo get clipped by monitor. Good as any excuse for a bigger monitor.

Not always, Rob... The Nikkor 24-120 has a bad rep...
https://kenrockwell.com/nikon/24120vr.htmand I know from owning an old Nikkor 35-105mm micro
that it has appalling chromatic aberration between high contrast sharp edges...
just like your raptors wing tips and the sky.
And back when the dinosaurs walked the earth I used a hired manual focus Tamron
(can't remember its focal length) that was great on my Nikon FM.
Very nice series Rob - enjoyed it.
