Well it’s about drone equipment.
A couple of years ago, I bought a DJI Magic Pro Combo.
Great fun getting familiar with its technology. Not only the operating but the photographic quality.
It’s a fantastic device, but, the batteries leave a little to be desired.
The combo came with 3 batteries, but after a couple of years, 2 of them puffed up & couldn’t fit into the drone, rendering it useless without power.
I’ve been trying to find where I can purchase new ones, to no avail. It’s suggested I buy them on the net, which is from China. China in the current climate, is a dirty word. Mixed with my distrust of buying on line, it seems a product I paid nearly $2 thousand for, is useless for the want of new batteries.
I wouldn’t buy a DJI product until they brush up on their back up service improves.

Have you tried DJI? I just checked their site and there are lots of options for support.

DJI is a Chinese company and if you don't like China why buy a DJI. I am not very familiar with DJI drone names but is your a Magic Pro or Mavic Pro?

B&H and Amazon have batteries for the DJI Mavic 2. Both are trusted "net" businesses. I don't know where you are, but Best Buy in my area is a walk in store that has stocked DJI products.

Your best bet on older product is the DJI store itself. There are tons of third party batteries available as well on Amazon. The usual suspects (B&H, Adorama) don't seem to have them.

All of the batteries come from China. If you don't want to buy Chinese, there are drone options. Check this article:

https://droneflyingpro.com/best-drone-not-made-in-china/

I have a Parrot Anafi and use it freqently. I don't travel with it because I don't trust it enough to risk being without a drone if it flies away (a common problem), and because it doesn't pack as well as DJI. It uses Wi-Fi to communicate, so distance is limited and it can suffer from interference. That said, it has some great video flight options, it can look straight up, and I've never gotten the propellors in my shot. The straight up view is great for getting up out of tree-lined canyons and gorges. With DJI, I have to stair step my way out because I can't look straight up and find an unobstructed exit.

The OP has the DJI Mavic Pro, which takes different batteries.

Why buy from DJI?

Because they make a high quality high performance product?

Since DJI made the product it seems only logical to go to DJI for replacement batteries.

FYI - China isn’t a “dirty word”. That kind of xenophobic Stone Age thinking is what is causing many of the problems in our world today.

But the OP complains about China. Didn't he know that DJI is Chinese?????? I don't say anything about performance. The OP complained about the battery from China.

Sorry I didn’t mean to come on that strongly. You point is taken.

As far as drone goes DJI is essentially the inventor of the camera drones.

Since the drone came from China, I would get the batteries from there. DJI has the corner on the drone market.

If you have used those batteries hard for 2 yrs I'm not surprised they are puffed. Keep using a puffed battery could mean a fire is in it's future. lipo's should never be discharged lower than 3.7 volts per cell.

Have you tried Batteries Plus? They rebuilt batteries. Might be cheaper than purchasing them from a dealer.
