Thanks, NMGal! I was more than 50 feet from him, so no worries! Yeah, he looks like he would be right at home with a pack of mosasaurs terrorizing all the sea critters in the area!

Thanks, Jeff! He had his eye on a couple of the Great Egrets but they would only let him get so close before they would fly. And then only about ten feet and land again!

I recall reading that they can run on land up to about 17-20 Miles/Hour. In other words, they can easily outrun most of us!
