We, meaning My Brother and His Wife along with My Wife and I went last Weekend. We usually go twice a Year and stay the night, then drive on over to Gilmore Auto Museum, I have 2 Cars there for them to show. It's Free Storage for me. I have a heated and Humidity controlled Pole Barn, which is also insulated and only has an 11ft. ceiling. I keep my '67 GTO and 1975 Trans Am in there, that way if I get the urge I can pull one out and drive it. My GTO only has 14,000 miles on it, my Father bought it for me and I stored it at His Friend's House until I Graduated from The University of Michigan. My Trans Am was purchased by me and went into storage immediately, again at my Father's Friend's house and has 5,568 miles on it. I usually take them out for a 50-80 mile drive twice a year. My Father's Friend lives in Grand Haven but has a really nice setup as he also has a couple of cars himself. In fact, he has a '75 Eldorado Convertible that has 2800 miles on it. Since he has no Sons, he and his Wife are going to pass it down to me. He retired out of GM Warren Tech Center and was an engineer, he actually is one of the few that threw the books out and used common sense. He got me into the Proving Grounds where I had my GTO and Trans AM Flat-Bedded there and I was allowed to go around the track. My T.A. has the 455 Super Duty in it and I was able to hit 145MPH at the very top end, but the track showed 140. My GTO really smoked out at about 155MPH. Anyway, I like Your pics at Meijer Gardens. That place is Beautiful. I did some Macro Shots there with my rail system before they opened, I'm good Friend's with Representative Peter Meijer. We live within 30 minutes of Cranbrook School, which is where I did one year then went to Country Day due to them having advanced classes that really helped me at Michigan. I also attended Roper, Grades 1-6, and it was easy but I did not like some of my fellow students. They picked on me during my final year because I set the Curve to high and I won a Science Award where I built a Telescope and through my Father's Friend, I was able to grind and polish my own glass. I still have that thing actually. How much time did you spend at the Garden? I could live there as it is so Beautiful and if you catch a nice breeze, then you can even smell the Flowers. We plan on going back if the Coast Guard does their FireWorks Show in Grand Haven. One of My Friends retired from the Coast Guard, so we get to set on the beach. Anyway, have a great week and keep up the great work with Your Photography.

Great set. Really like the horse and tulips. Is that a lighthouse or a windmill?

It was Susan. This was a couple of years ago. We were there about a week after the festival, but still plenty of tulips to see.

Nickaroo, nice reply. We've been to Gilmore several years ago. I have photos posted from that visit. Thanks for looking.

Good catch NMGal. don't know why I said it was a lighthouse. I had posted more photos of this event in an earlier post.
Thanks for your response.
