The F-35 had a morning slot and both Saturday and Sunday had humid morning. The Friday mid-afternoon practice was nice and clear. The difference shows.

Very nice captures, especially the burner plume inside the nozzle. The vapor of which you speak is actually condensation created by compressing the air as it flows over the wing and stabilizer. This is seen mainly during air show demonstrations at low altitude, high "G" maneuvers. Your final image is of an unusual view of that A/C. Was the plane out of Selfridge?

This was the F-35 Demo Team. I think they are out of Hill AFB, UT.
